Cake Sale at Beach Hut #9 raises funds for charity

Beach Hut #9 has been popular since the moment it was refurbished and the doors opened once again for community use. People can contact VANEL to borrow the key to the hut and use it for a variety of purposes.

Each year Humberside Police encourage young people to help their local communities through “Operation Lifestyle“. So on Saturday 8th July 2017 a group of youngsters took over Beach Hut #9 for a Cake Sale as part of their own Operation Lifestyle efforts.

It was a great summers day and Maisie, Maya, Lily and Ella managed to raise £252 on the day. All the proceeds went to Scartho Community Library. Well done girls!

If your group would like to make use of Beach Hut #9 find out more here about getting hold of the key.

Remember that Beach Hut #9 is the base for our Bygone Beachcombers project – it’s our own miniature history exhibition. Have a look in next time you’re in the area.
